REVIVING A COTSWOLD TRADITION FOR MODERN MAKERS

Natural British Wool for Makers & Creators

Cotswold Wool Trader collaborates with farmers and small holders in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), to produce high-quality wool products from rare and heritage British breeds and international breeds farmed in the Cotswolds.

We supply 100% natural wool to makers and creators across the UK and internationally.
Every skein, cone and roving is breed-specific and spun from a single named breed rather than a blended mix.

  • Yarn

Our yarn has no added colours or chemical finishes, so the colour and texture you see is entirely natural. The yarn is hand wound into 'hanks', the traditional artisan format (also known as skeins).

Packaging-light and ideal for bigger projects and longer runs.

    Roving

Our roving is a scoured and combed fibre that has been cleaned and prepared but not yet spun, leaving it soft, airy and full of natural character.

It is well suited to hand spinning, needle felting and fibre art.

Each roving carries the natural colour and character of the breed it came from, with nothing added and nothing taken away.
